A client wanted to have his overhead power dropped underground so we coordinated with the electrician who then coordinated with National Grid. We were able to get everything together and the trench was done.
If you’ve never seen an underground conduit, it’s a big gray pipe that runs underground all the way back to the house and inside of that pipe is a heavy-duty cable with all the three major power wires. This wire goes into your box and provides 200 amp service that comes off the telephone pole to your house. We’re going to be installing a new meter and then in the house will be a new 200 amp panel with all new breakers. We were able to get this done efficiently, and effectively with some good coordination. It all worked out well because we are professionals.
